The regeneration of an old porcelain factory property in the heart of Jingdezhen’s Imperial Kiln Historic District is guided by what PAO calls a Plugin Architecture approach to historic preservation and urban regeneration. This method involves placing architectural insertions within and adjacent to existing buildings to revitalize the site while incorporating and respecting its historical elements. +55 Design Store / Studio Arthur Casas

The brazility, so determining for the identity of the brand +55design, also  defined the architecture of the store, designed by Arthur Casas and  his team. To solidify this intention, cobogós in the façade,  monochromatic earthly and green tones, as well as lush greenery  composed by native Brazilian species highlight its tropicality and make  the store an exhibition space. Therefore, with a neutral and minimalistic scenario, the objects and products gain protagonism. “The project was  thought searching for solutions to evidence the furniture, not the  architecture”, explains Arthur. To achieve such results, lighting is a great  ally – the amorphous opening between ground floor and mezzanine and  the glass roofing allow for abundant natural lighting, which brightens  spaces and highlights the furniture’s materiality.

Andrea Colli Gallery / VAGA Arquitetura

São Paulo, 2024 – The jewelry brand Galeria Andrea Colli in Jardim Europa has strategically transitioned from a shopping mall environment to a street store. The new space, designed by the VAGA Arquitetura office, reflects the depth and sophistication of the brand through targeted architectural interventions. Founded in 2016 by Andrea Colli and Viviane Ferreira, the brand defines its jewelry as extensions of the body, transcending mere aesthetics to offer a sensitive perspective. The architectural design of the new store authentically expresses the identity and values of Galeria Andrea Colli, displaying its jewelry in harmony with the architecture of the space. With targeted yet significant interventions, the architects completely redefined the atmosphere of the space. The most striking changes occurred in the exterior, where a new facade was covered with perforated steel panels painted in a vibrant yellow, creating a visual contrast with the urban surroundings.

COOSH Boutique Store / Sivak+Partners Studio

August 17, 2024 Andreas Luco 0

COOSH is distinguished by its Scandinavian, minimalist style with accent details so we created a space that represents the same approach by not only being a comfortable store but also focusing a visitor’s attention on surfaces, materials, and nuances. As the brand tends to a Scandinavian minimalism and is restrained in the color palette we thought it would be cool to overthink the Scandinavian mold and go to the roots of Scandinavia with its warm furry materials contrasting with the cold environment.
