HOK's Mercedes-Benz Stadium will host the 53rd Super Bowl

This time-lapse footage shows the petals atop Atlanta’s Mercedes-Benz Stadium, which is hosting the 53rd Super Bowl game today, slide past each other to cover the American football pitch below.

The venue, where the New England Patriots will take on the Los Angeles Rams from 6:30pm EST, was designed by global architecture firm HOK with an ETFE roof that “opens and closes like a camera aperture”.
