Profiles, designed by Belzberg Architects, investigate the design potential of a mid-block property in Mexico City. The eight-story, 24,000 SF office building is located adjacent to a historic three-story building on a busy one-way street in the Cuauhtémoc neighborhood. Mexico City’s density is characterized by buildings of varying heights adjacent to one another throughout the city with the vast majority of mid-block buildings focusing design elements on the street-facing façade.

The site of EMK Musical Company is located at the crossroads where Nonhyeonno – one of the major roads in Gangnam, Seoul – and Nambusunhwan-ro intersect with each other. The future benefits, which will accrue from the high rent in Gangnam, especially the high rent on the ground floor, induce conflicts between the program and the desire for the office building space with abundant interior and exterior space (including the exterior space on the ground).

The new building of the Academy for International Cooperation (AIZ) at its new location in Bonn-Röttgen will be used as a seminar and training center for international skill development under the auspices of the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ).  

Set in urban farmland – studios, workshops, shop, and other ancillary facilities for a designer mother-daughter duo was to be designed. With a farm on one side and a cowshed on the other – the site has a strong agrarian milieu. Taking a cue from this the project was conceived as an extension of this landscape and articulates a rather contemporary program with largely traditional spatial vocabulary.

Casual creativity is our approach to the office (and maybe even our work). It means approaching creativity with function, taste, and personality in mind (as opposed to deep philosophy). It’s expressed every day: the trees, the activities we have in our flexible space, the work we do, our culture, positive vibes, parties, and productivity.
