By saving a historic building and turning it into an art gallery, we introduced a solution that makes art more democratic. Thanks to the revolving walls, it goes outside the building in an unusual way. We transformed the space around the gallery, which was previously contaminated, into a biodiverse art park for the benefit of the residents.
Maryborough is situated in Dja Dja Wurrung country in central Victoria, Australia. The project comprises an Art Gallery and an Indigenous Interpretive Sculpture Garden. Nervegna Reed was engaged to design the gallery, and Djandak (an arm of Dja Dja Wurrung Clans Aboriginal Corporation) designed the sculpture garden, which is due for completion later this year. The two aspects of the projects are integral to the indigenizing of Maryborough. The CGAG project is an adaptive reuse of an 1861 Victorian fire station. The site is at the end of the 19th-century civic spine, which extends to the Maryborough train station.
Simultaneously, exposed and concealed architecture creates a new interaction with the surrounding environment. This project involved housing relocation and reconstruction for a clinic and road expansion work adjacent to the south side of Matsumoto Castle Park in Matsumoto City, Nagano Prefecture, Japan. The new site was provided by the government and partially overlapped with the previous site as the line of view to Matsumoto Castle. This allowed it to retain the picturesque scenery of the castle and an old house’s garden. The site surroundings are expected to be redeveloped as the center of what was formerly a castle town to cultivate an independent cultural area. The area is also referred to as the Sannomaru Area, which is located between the castle’s outer moat and the Metoba River.
We listened attentively to the woman’s story of studying painting and enduring loneliness alone in a foreign country at a young age. When we received the painting named ‘ Mureungdowon’ which means ‘ Paradise’ in East Asia, we realized anew the value of art. D-SCAPE represents the desire for it to become a Dreamscape, a space resembling a pleasant dream.

Wong Chuk Hang neighborhood has thrived in recent years as a hub for contemporary art, with various galleries and artist studios occupying old buildings. WKM GALLERY, based in such an area, has been established as a global platform for emerging artists in contemporary art and street art and established artists, including those from Japan.
Frame Garden Café called Tanatap is another iteration prototype of a multi-leveled greenspace with dynamic platforms that rise and fall to create a walkable roofscape that acts as an extension for the public to enjoy the public parks from a better and grander perspective. Pursuing a façade-less architecture, the design was started with the question, what if the flexibility of community activities, art exhibitions, and garden spaces acted as an unlimited permutation of functional façade that defined the space and shaped the identity of the architecture itself? The design was to demonstrate a selfless approach to creating many sheltered indoor spaces hidden within a simple multi-leveled garden. Spaces that were created became a sequential space and were not an initial space.
The need to house an important private contemporary art collection dictated the program for the new project in a set of rehabilitation interventions scheduled for the Quinta de São João, in Câmara de Lobos.

In the pursuit of a precise project definition, it is articulated as follows: the envisaged structure encompasses a two-story house featuring two distinct entrances, each leading to separate chambers. The residential floor is accessible via six stairs, while an additional set of six stairs grants entry from the yard to the basement floor, designed for storage purposes.
