The creation and transformation are resulted by different relation forces. Therefore, we cannot lose track of these relationships with the impulses of life, while using prototypes. Otherwise, we repeat a dead body: an object in itself, a “tradition” struggling in an absurd rhetorical war with other symbols.

The MAJD neighborhood, situated in District No. 2 of the Mashhad Municipality, is one of the older neighborhoods with a history that dates back about one hundred years. The history of the combination of garden houses, fruit gardens, and grape vines dates back to at least four hundred years ago. The traces of this organic substrate can be seen today in the form of non-geometric streets that accommodate several years old trees.

Korngold Apartament / Ana Sawaia Arquitetura

The Polish architect Lucjan Korngold designed the Higienópolis Building in 1946, which was completed in 1949. Korngold settled in the building’s penthouse, where he resided until his death. As an influential figure in São Paulo’s architectural landscape during the 1940s and 1950s, he also designed the CBI Esplanada Building in São Paulo’s city center, the Bom Retiro Commercial Center, and various residential buildings in Higienópolis. The apartments within this building feature an intriguing layout distinguished by a large balcony that extends through the bedrooms, along with a small central patio that admits natural light into the living area.
