french architects nicolas hugoo and florian brillet have turned a former shop into a flexible and multipurpose space — the new project allows for several configurations of the office. a set of revolving bookcases divides the room in question in two, providing a separate gallery, while the users can move them and create a big workplace with a wave of a hand.

the design language of hugoo and brillet’s project is based on perforated metal — the material maintains throughout the space in order to provide as much sunlight as possible. the staircase, the libraries, and the entrance bench are made with the ‘gantois‘ sheets which allow the transparency of about 50%.

the subtle play of the sun rays resonates with the tailor-made furniture design — the architects have made all the pieces to measure to make sure the architecture and setting are a perfect match. the clean lines of the tables and chairs, their smooth grey surfaces echo the flooring and precise built-in shelving structure.
