as part of a recent project 314 architecture studio envisions a new house for a coastal area in a southern suburb of athens. titled ‘besso nami’ the main design concept behind the proposed residence is to create an organic language for both the exterior and the interior forms, in a way that provides privacy and unobstructed views out to sea.

314 architecture studio‘s design spans a total floor area of 4693 ft2 (436 m2). on the ground floor, a 5 meter height creates a generous space which comprises a kitchen, living room and ensuite bedroom. glass panels run all along the perimeter, blurring the line between the interior and exterior and allowing the bedroom and living room space to extend out to the garden area. a mixture of soft and hard landscaping, ponds and a pool area form the landscape and encourage interaction with the external environment.

four ensuite bedrooms are located on the first floor. the main living room space, kitchen and dining area are located on the second floor in a 1722 ft2 (160 m2) open plan arrangement that extends out to a terrace. a unique office space is created on the third floor, which is surrounded by planting and illuminated by a dome skylight that brings in natural light to the living room area in addition to being the crowning feature of the entire building.
