Osulloc’s tea house “Sullochyangsil” is located the southwest of Jejudo. Jejudo is the largest island in Korea located at the southern tip of the Korean Peninsula and has unique characteristics that distinguish it from other regions of Korea. This project is the renovation of two old houses(constructed in 1980) in the middle of tea fields managed by Osullocfarm. One O One Architects added a new volume of gable roofs between the two houses.
Design of Blue Bottle Coffee Umeda Chayamachi Cafe in Osaka, Japan. Since this is the first coffee by the brand to open in a new region, the interior design was required to consider the message of BLUE BOTTLE COFFEE conveying a story, easy to understand for the customers. The iconic blue logo that suddenly appears in the cityscape and the joy of discovering the familiar blue of the brand, are expressed using various lights and materials. Historically, the location of Chayamachi has a unique Japanese tea culture, where people gather and share time, and the sense of unity is interpreted in a modern way throughout the whole cafe.

A Narrow Alleyway that Leads to the Doorstep of My House – A narrow alleyway in the neighborhood of Seoul City leads to the “Alley House”. The Alley House creates no boundary between the streets and itself. The alleyway extends to the doorstep of every unit in the building. It is one building, but, at the same time, is a group of stacked individual houses linked by alley-like stairs. We tried to find wisdom in the alleyway to have five families and a small office in the small plot of land with 106 square meters, not even enough for a single-family.
