Araam Villa is tranquilized in Qare khach village context on southern heights of Maku – a city in northwestern Iran near the Turkish border that has long been familiar with modern values ​​due to its border proximity and the presence of migrant minorities. Moreover, the climate of this region is different from the plateau of Iran, it is full of water and has green pastures.

“Our family is introverted. We value and enjoy our privacy and rarely socialize. Consequently, we would not want anyone from the outside being able to look in at us. But amongst ourselves, we have a very enjoyable rapport. Therefore, we would like to be able to separate the formal public living room from the family living area while providing the ability for the occasional sneak peek”. That was the initial conversation between the house owner and A49HD 5 years ago.

Bugok Friday House is located in the suburbs about 15 minutes by car from the border of Seoul. 20-30 years ago, it was a resort area for a weekend outing of Seoulites, but now it has become a residential area for people who want to enjoy the quiet rural atmosphere. The site is surrounded by panoramic ridges of Bukhansan mountain, where several peaks are connected and a stream flows along abandoned train tracks in front of the site.

Just a step away from the entrance, visitors will be taken on a journey to enjoy the architecture of the house. Located in Bandung, Indonesia, Hover House presents architectural themes that experiment with gravity. From the beginning, the architecture of this house wanted to show that concrete which usually seems heavy can be designed in such a way that it looks light.

Located in the area along West Lake, the building serves a variety of uses. Our task is to design and complete the architecture & facade for the building, and design a coffee shop for 2 podium floors (the remaining floors above are completed for space leasing). 

We believe that architecture should, first and foremost, affect human behavior. For this to work, besides the ability to create schemes and plans, the architect needs to have good observation skills, the capability to think critically, and the ability to project them- selves as the user to understand how one would behave and react to each space. 

FROM ONE PUBLIC SERVICE TO ANOTHER – The transformation of Hasanpaşa Gasworks into a public park and museum complex. The former Hasanpaşa Gasworks is an industrial complex made up of 22 production machines, storage units and service buildings, and is situated on some thirty-thousand square meter site in Kadıköy on the Anatolian side of Istanbul. Following the closure of the plant in 1993, the site was deserted and left in a derelict state. Hasanpaşa Gasworks is one of the most important industrial heritage sites in Istanbul. The founding of the plant dates back to the late-19th century, when Kadıköy was a small district and not nearly organized enough to require such an extensive public service with high development and operation costs.
