“Yolechang2020” Market / UAO Design

November 2, 2020 罗靖琳 - Jinglin Luo 0

At the beginning of 2020, a sudden epidemic resulted in the closure of Wuhan. After the people of Wuhan persisted in fighting the epidemic and the strong support of the people of the whole country, a few months later, Wuhan reopened and everything slowly went to normal. In September, my friend Mi Yangwen approached me, hoping to help design a temporary market “Yolechang2020” for free. The purpose is to implement the revitalization plan of the old neighborhood through this public welfare design activity and at the same time boost confidence in resuming work and production. I readily agreed, because, during the lockdown period, I also thought about using my own design power to do some charity design after the epidemic to help Wuhan and give back to society;

Sawmill Market / API Plus + Islyn Studio

June 6, 2020 Andreas Luco 0

Sawmill Market is a contemporary interpretation of an unsung New Mexico — a place synonymous with electric pink sunsets, bleached white cow skulls, pinon pine and the otherworldly landscapes immortalized by Georgia O’Keeffe and D.H. Lawrence. Together with owner Jim Long (Heritage Hotels and Resorts) and F&B Concept Developers Lauren and Jason Greene (The Grove Cafe), Islyn Studio drew directly from the rich cultural heritage of the Land of Enchantment to create Sawmill Market, a food hall, culinary laboratory and homage to the cultural imagination of New Mexico.

Restructuring of the Sanremo Annonary Market / Calvi Ceschia Viganò architetti associati

May 27, 2020 Andreas Luco 0

The building of the Mercato Annonario in Sanremo is the work of the Engineers Fera and Grossi Bianchi of Genoa, who designed it in the mid-1950s. It represents one of the architectural elements that most strongly characterize this part of the city both for its size and for the centrality of its location. It constitutes a sort of watershed between the medieval building, consisting of the nuclei of the Pigna, Piano, and the urban expansion of the post-war period. It is a single building with a reinforced concrete frame of the surface of about three thousand square meters, characterized by a parabolic vaulted roof with a height that reaches almost fifteen meters. In addition to the fruit and vegetable market, delicatessens and butchers, the building houses the fish market, the ASL veterinary clinics, some municipal offices, the offices of the INPS, and a national union.
