The Vaulted House / Vrushaket Pawar + Architects (VP+A)

June 20, 2024 Valeria Silva 0

The vaulted house is designed for an artist. Design of the house is based on 2 factors; site context and client’s background. The original structure was a humble 2 BHK GF residence, built 20+ years ago on the outskirts of Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar (Aurangabad). Client wanted to expand the house without demolishing the existing structure and Site falls under Hot and Dry climate zone in a relatively densely populated area.

The requirements for the project were very ambitious. The clients wanted a house with a tight surface area of no more than 350 sqm, but they wanted a wide variety of spaces, all of which should be spacious and generously sized. Finally, we agreed on the architectural program: a master suite with a dressing room, three bedrooms en suite for the children, a living room, dining room, kitchen, quincho, playroom, laundry room, storage room, and a maid’s room.

The Garden Room / Objekt Architecten

We were charged with the design of a multifamily house on a smaller vacant plot in a semi-open development. The biggest challenge here lies in the shape of the plot: very narrow in front and widening towards the back. In addition, it also had to connect seamlessly to the adjacent blind façade of the house.

68-86 Farringdon Road Building / Sheppard Robson

June 10, 2024 Valeria Silva 0

68-86 Farringdon Road’s complex and constrained site – previously a multi-story car park – informed a bold design language for a new hotel and office building that celebrates the area’s eclecticism. Situated between Bowling Green Lane and Vineyard Walk along Farringdon Road, the mixed-use development is formed of a new 180-key hotel for Whitbread’s hub by Premier Inn brand that neighbors a speculative office building for CLI Dartriver. Animating the streetscape of this bustling London thoroughfare are retail spaces, the hotel’s café, and the office’s reception at ground floor level.

June 10, 2024 Valeria Silva 0

Designed for a young couple of dressage professionals, VM Dressage Stables needed to meet not only the horses and personal demands of the owners but also their clients. With a lot of daily movement, one of the main requirements was that the place was practical and safe, both for the animals and for the riders and grooms.
