“Playtime Cabin” is an experimental project of “Merryda Wiki World • Secret Camp”, located within a metasequoia forest inhabited by migratory birds, where over a dozen treehouses are discreetly nestled. The concept comes from kids’ shared imagination. This project is also part of the “Wiki Building School” co-building with nature initiative, representing another attempt by our team to explore the diversity of living spaces.

The project is located at the corner of a super high-rise project site on the south side of the golf course in Futian District, Shenzhen. The site available for construction is very limited, and there is not much extra space after accommodating the basic functions. Although the kindergarten is small in size, we still hope to create a simple and interesting space for the children.We believe that a kindergarten should be a “small world, small universe” for children, rather than a “prison” for keeping them. But how can we fit a “small universe” into such a small kindergarten?

Saweol Space reimagines a 23 m² corner unit in a mall atrium as a distinctive fashion retail store. The irregular floor plan and 5.5m ceiling maximize display potential and pedestrian flow.

Design Approach: Generating a Strategic Prototype – The renovation of the library at Chengdu Shude Experimental Middle School faces the typical challenges of updating an old school building. Located on the ground floor of a building constructed in the 1970s–80s, the structure has undergone multiple renovations and ownership changes, leaving its original design unrecorded. Within this orthogonal grid space, the school requires not only reading functions but also multi-purpose uses including meetings, flexible teaching, teacher preparation, and exhibitions.

Yutang Culture and Sports Center is located in Tianliao Community, Yutang Subdistrict, Guangming District, Shenzhen, at a local center enclosed by a dense urban-village context and surrounding industrial areas. Conceived as a highly integrated civic complex, the project accommodates a wide range of public programs including a sports hall, library, cultural center, art gallery, performance space, community health service center, bus terminal, and retail facilities. With a total floor area of approximately 54,690 square meters—about 29,000 square meters above ground and 25,690 square meters below—the project primarily serves residents of nearby urban villages as well as the adjacent industrial workforce. The surrounding industrial land is currently undergoing renewal, situating the project within an urban context that remains in flux.

The waters and mountains of Jiulong Lake set the emotional tone for this space. Taking “returning to the nest” as the central theme, we gently weave the everyday warmth of Lingnan dessert traditions into Aranya’s distinct sense of retreat and belonging. The authentic textures of materials form the structural framework, while the warmth of Lingnan culture becomes its flesh and soul. Here, the body often recognizes “home” before the mind does—the moment one sits down, a sense of familiarity quietly settles in.

Chaka Salt Lake Tourist Railway Station is located at Chaka Salt Lake, Wulan County, Qinghai Province. The project as the landmark building of scenic area upgrading and based on the tourism publicity image with the characteristics of the scenic spot is made by prefabricated steel structure and membrane structure and the digital technology of the project combines the concept of the scheme, the design deepening and construction, which creates a free space for transportation organization and leisure and sightseeing.

Senpop is a retail brand that began with socks and has expanded into accessories centered around clothing and textiles. This project reinterprets the processes of production and distribution, transforming the store into a hybrid space between factory, warehouse, and retail.
