Connecting Hearts, Communicating Bakery – Stacked with ‘time’ and the sincere ‘craftsmanship’ that has been built up over the years, Citizen Bakery is a place that ‘connects people’ by remembering the warm ‘heart’ and memories. The new Citizen Bakery, located along the Hyeongsan River, has been designed with the keywords “Connecting Hearts, Communicating Bakery” in mind. It is expected to become a warm yet lively space, applying and developing various ideas. The brand identity of Citizen Bakery was applied to ensure that both the brand and the space continue to tell one unified story. We hope that the new image of Citizen Bakery will remain vividly in the minds of our customers and that the long journey of Citizen Bakery will continue to grow in the hearts of the people who visit.

The hinc Hair Salon / Hitotomori Architects + arinco architects

October 14, 2024 Hana Abdel 0

This project is the interior design of a hair salon renovated from the first floor of a Showa-era retro building near Noda Station in Osaka. The existing triangular floor plan, high ceilings, reinforced concrete columns, and beams with haunches had aged beautifully over time. Some might call it deterioration, while others may describe it as beauty cultivated by time. We shared this intrinsic beauty with the client and planned the space with minimal intervention to preserve this beautiful structure as much as possible.

Jeju Island Wedding Studio / Todot Architects and Partners

**Studio Jera (A Photography Studio that Remembers the Forest)** – Jeju, known for its frequent winds, is home to an abundance of cedar trees. The reason for this is painful. During the Japanese occupation, indiscriminate logging occurred, and Japanese cedars were planted as compensation, continuing to thrive until today. However, thanks to the cedar trees, Jeju’s barren mountains and fields were filled, and the trees provided protection for the golden, ripening tangerines from the wind.

Norlys Charging Park Drejebænken / ADEPT

September 18, 2024 Andreas Luco 0

Danish energy giant Norlys recently inaugurated its first EV charging park, soon to be followed by double-digit locations across Denmark. The charging parks by ADEPT are designed for disassembly and share a green profile adaptable to future locations. With a design suited for a rapidly growing number of charging parks, ADEPT and Norlys combine the traditional roadside stop with a green and eventful destination. The first location in Odense, Denmark shows how the design translates the client values into architecture – to give more users better access to sustainable energy solutions, to keep it simple and to connect people across the country.

Cha Arnon Farm / Yangnar Studio

May 30, 2024 Hana Abdel 0

Belief reflects people’s way of living and their environment, especially in rural areas where they live close to nature with respect. Everybody has their own way of narrating their background, as well as architecture, which is one of those mediums where all anecdotes vocalize within themselves, including “Cha Arnon”
