Kobe is a city where the sea and mountains are close together, with its urban area spreading across the slopes at the base of the mountains. In the Sannomiya area, the current city center, the most important urban axis connecting the sea to the mountains is Flower Road, running north-south from Shin-Kobe Station to the port. The Second Pier, the site of this project, is located at its tip. Kobe Port prospered as a mooring facility for conventional cargo ships, but it has now completed its urban role.

The design strictly adheres to heritage conservation requirements, introducing new functions to meet diverse needs without altering the ancestral hall’s main structure.

La Villa de Santiago is a colonial town located 37 kilometers from the city of Monterrey. Every week a large number of visitors come to enjoy the different natural scenarios held in this part of the Sierra Madre Oriental. Rivers, waterfalls and forests are a perfect place to practice canyoning, climbing and trekking. Traditionally many weekend residences and cottages are located here. That is the case of this house, placed in a terrain with view to the nearby mountains on the outskirts of the town.

Three Schools – One Process / gmp Architects

With the construction of three new schools in Bremerhaven, a public-sector building project has been realized for the first time using the Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) model (Integriertes Projektabwicklungsmodell, IPA). This project serves as a pilot for gmp and as a nationwide reference project for collaborative construction in the public sector. The schools, designed for approximately 1,750 pupils and students, gradually began operations starting in summer 2025, initially the Hamburger Straße School Center in Geestemünde and the New Lehe Secondary School, followed in the autumn by the New Lehe Elementary School, as scheduled.
