Vander Park Residential Buildings / de Architekten Cie.

February 18, 2020 Valeria Silva 0

Residential complex Vander Park, Moscow. Vander Park is situated in Western Moscow which is characterized by its modernist layout, woodlands, and the river Moskva. It is a typical contemporary Moscow housing project: large-scale, compact and high density. This first realized project of the Architekten Cie. in Moscow, designed for the renowned Russian developer PIK Group, comprises no less than a thousand apartments on a site of approximately 2.4 hectares. Consequently, dense and high-rise construction is required. To maintain a human scale in the project, we approached it as a case of urban planning and designed the complex as a vertical city in the city. Thanks to the many passageways leading from the street to the garden court, the complex is closely connected to the surrounding neighborhood.

Artist Residence / Pía Mendaro

February 18, 2020 Valeria Silva 0

The premise was to carry out the refurbishment of a row house built in the 20s, classified as “recognized poverty housing”. There was a limited budget and the place’s character had to be kept in the outside. It has a front and a back garden. The idea was to set up an artist residency space / housing for a multitasking freelance.

Loft on 72nd Street / Nauzet Rodríguez Ruiz

February 17, 2020 Valeria Silva 0

The tight budget for this project did not allow the development of the spatial program to include two bedrooms as the lot dimensions suggested from the start. Instead, it opted to develop an integral remodeling project that reconfigured the space (used commercially until now) into a type of “loft.”

FAUNO HOUSE – CASA COR 2019 / Leo Shehtman Arquitetura e Design

February 16, 2020 Valeria Silva 0

Léo Shehtman’s already traditional participation in CASACOR SP leads the visitor of the 2019 edition to a true contemplation of luxury. The abundant use of exotic “Nacarado” marble, which floats along the entire length of the water mirror – no less than 18 linear meters – stands out, and which, along with the composition created by two wooden tones that refer to a subtle light effect and shade, can be observed from all spaces. Interacting with the purity and timelessness of these materials, a select range of furniture pieces – much of which is supplied by “Dunelli” – produces an axiomatic counterpoint between old and contemporary. Punctually, design stars pieces – among them the very Brazilian “Katita” armchair, by Sérgio Rodrigues – radiate an exclusive shine.

The GYRE complex has, since its opening in 2007 by Dutch architects MVRDV, had the philosophy of “SHOP & THINK” with the meaning of “living while being aware of topical issues of the world”. With the name GYRE, meaning vortex or rotation, it has become a unique commercial facility that attracts new energy and people through its philosophy. Based on the idea of ‘one floor, one concept’, ATTA designed 1,000m² of the GYRE 4th floor and the space will be reborn as GYRE.FOOD in November 2019.

Ecological Public Restrooms in Trado / MOL Arquitectura

The intervention aims to respond to a growing demand for the hiking route and the recreational area and lookout over the rivers Miño and Deva in O Valiño, and at the same time order the place and complement the existing environment with a space capable of responding to the needs and demands from visitors and local citizens. For the execution of the toilets, we opt for a polished concrete platform with raised metal perimeter of the natural terrain of MacAdam and on it a container formed by prefabricated reinforced concrete modules and facades composed of a bioclimatic skin of corten steel and glass, placed with different dispositions like outer skin and defensive anti vandalic, having inside a facade of laminated glass on steel frames. The interconnection lobby is covered with a bioclimatic roof, with a small waiting area with a trellis.
