Bangkok Midtown Hotel is a 6-storey hotel with a multiple of public facilities such as main lobby, restaurant, swimming pool and Thai spa. The 4-star hotel is located among untidy surroundings and very close to row houses at 3 sides of the site. The only side, the front, that connected to Rama VI road is intentionally designed to engage with an open courtyard.

The house is located in a new neighborhood of the city of Morteros situated northeast of the province of Córdoba, it is a region with a flat topography and has an orthogonal layout as a draughtboard. The project is implanted in a corner place of 16.30 m x 38.75 m.

Chicken House / Tropical Space

The idea of the Chicken’s House comes from the customer request. They are an aged couple who longing to move to the countryside. They want to raise some chickens in the garden so that they can take care of them, feed them and watch them every day as a way to clear their mind. They look forward to their children and grandchildren could come and visit them often and have space for them to play around when they stay.

They loved the clean modern lines, look and feel of this project, however wanted a more playful and fun house. This was to reflect their personality, active lifestyle and love of entertaining.

Catskills House / J_spy Architecture and Design

This small house located in the Catskills, NY is designed as a weekend getaway for a family living near New York City. The house sits on 6 acres of land, but is only a little more than 1,000 sq. ft., which is enough to provide a comfortable setting for the family to enjoy the nature of the site. What makes this house unique is the simplicity of the form which is essentially 4 volumes.  The three base volumes are all clad in ground faced concrete block inside and outside, and contain the support spaces of the house.  The fourth volume is clad in metal and sits on top of the 3 concrete block volumes to enclose the main living space of the house.  The oversized mahogany wood windows complete the enclosure between the concrete block volumes.

Faculty of Architecture and Environmental Design / Patrick Schweitzer & Associés

The architecture Practice Patrick Schweitzer & Associés responded to the international call launched by the Government of Rwanda in March 2012 for the construction of the new Faculty of architecture in Kigali. This school covers an area of 5 600 square meters and has the capacity to accommodate 600 students. It is located in the University of Rwanda’s College of Science and Technology campus in Nyarugenge District. The works started in early 2017 and were completed at the end of 2017.

Built at the beginning of the 20th century, the edifice is a substantial piece of the city’s heritage and participates in creating the distinctive ambience of Saigon.

Argyle Street Apartments / Pandolfini Architects

Located in the Melbourne suburb of Fitzroy, this restoration and addition to a 150-year-old building showcases the rich history of the area and demonstrates how prioritising natural light over floor area can make the most of tight, inner-city sites. The project involves the careful restoration of a heritage listed building and a new two-storey addition to provide for two unique apartments.
