Parallel – The drying yard nestles on the mid-slope of Gaoligong Mountains’ eastern flank in Mangkuan Yi-Dai Township. Aligned with the meridional Hengduan Ranges, it basks in prolonged sunlight from dawn to dusk. Enveloped by the mountain’s primal grandeur, the new structure dissolves into the terrain with lightweight humility.

The Guangzhou Xuelei Fragrance Museum takes scent—an invisible and intangible medium—as the starting point of its architectural concept. Challenging the visual dominance of conventional museum design, the project introduces smell, memory, and multisensory perception into spatial narration. Guided by principles of openness, collaboration, and sustainability, the museum is conceived not merely as an attractive cultural destination, but as a platform for public engagement with the history of perfumery, traditional craftsmanship, and contemporary technologies. It offers an ideal environment to experience the evolution of fragrance creation. Through architectural expression, the intangible nature of scent is transformed into a tangible, spatial encounter—establishing the museum as a vital venue for dialogue and exchange within global fragrance culture.

The project is a renovation project which located in Xianjing Village, Baita Town, Xianju County, Zhejiang Province. From the village, one can directly overlook the Fanzeng Peak in the southwest. Relying on the beautiful natural scenery of the Shenxianju mountains, the town government hopes to transform Xianjing Village into a sketching art village. They entrusted us to renovate the abandoned primary school, hoping to attract young art students and artists to come to the village, stay and do some sketching nearby. The Youth Artist’s Dormitory is named as “Qingyi Lodge”.The main building of the village primary school was originally a two-story brick-concrete structure constructed in the 1970s-1980s. We hope to retain the form of the old school, but bring new life to it.

Set in the south of Beijing, this villa designed by TEMP is both a private dwelling and an art space for gathering — a house that embraces the rhythms of family life while opening itself to art, light, and time. Across four levels, with two above ground and two below, the architecture balances intimacy and community, permanence and change.

I. Project Overview: Geography and Culture – Nestled in Shenshan Park in the downtown area of Wuhu, Anhui Province, the Art Museum of the China Sculpture Institute is an urban renewal project renovated from a disused greenhouse. Its home, Wuhu Sculpture Park, stands as China’s first thematic art space that organically integrates sculpture culture with natural landscapes. Spanning an expansive 8.2 hectares, the park infuses sculptural art—known as “three-dimensional fine art”—into the poetic scenery of mountains and waters, forging a distinctive urban cultural landscape. Boasting picturesque views across all four seasons, the park creates an open and vibrant public art interface together with the sculptures, and has now emerged as one of the most popular urban sculpture parks among citizens nationwide.

The Douban museum is located in Ande Town, within the prime irrigation area of Dujiangyan, where traditional farming culture intersects with modern sauce production, echoing the organic texture of the Western Sichuan Linpan. Surrounded by woodlands and bamboo with dotted farmhouses, it possesses a strong ecological foundation. Protecting this ecology became the project’s guiding principle.

The site is located west of Guangzu Park, east of Guangzu South Road, south of Jikang Road, and north of Danzi East Road in Kengzi Street, Pingshan District. The site is divided into two plots—north and south—with a distance of over 130 meters between them, covering a total area of 21,543 square meters. The northern plot includes a six-story building above ground and two basement levels, housing the Pingshan District Science and Technology Museum and a Book Mall. The southern plot features an eight-story building above ground with two basement levels designated for the Pingshan District Cultural Center. Between these two plots lies the western entrance to Guangzu Park, while underground, there is a public parking lot that also serves civil defense purposes. The total construction area is 72,436.62 square meters, including 43,176.92 square meters of floor area ratio (FAR) and 29,259.70 square meters of non-FAR area.
