The construction of a winery and the wine process creation are extremely attached at the experience with the land. The wine is smell, color, flavor and shape.  The senses and the perceptions have to go together with a site that is able to emphasize the process of the transformation. In order of that, we have worked with four key aspects: 

White Arkitekter designed a full-scale sports hall for schools and sports clubs in Rotebro in Sollentuna municipality, Sweden. Rotebrohallen – Rotebro sports hall – is a 20x40m concept hall and a first step in the regeneration of central Rotebro.

The combination of wood, steel, glass and greens come together in this contemporary expression of a residence in the tropical climate of Kolkata. This model home is a standalone version of typical apartments that are to come up as part of a 40-storeyed tower. This is capped by a rooftop lounge and terrace created to enjoy panoramic views across the site.

A weekend house in a residential condo located in the south coast of Brazil, distant a 130 km from its capital Porto Alegre, for a couple with 3 adult sons. 

The main principles of the design was to create a clean, modern space, using simple straight lines, a lot of light and relations between indoor and outdoor. In the living area large scale glass doors with minimal frames were used, allowing natural light to flush the space and connecting the inside with the outside area which includes an outer sitting area, a small lawn and a swimming pool. An inner patio was created in order to allow natural light to reach the inner parts of the house and to separate the public area from the private one.  

Both man and woman for whom we designed the villa have young children from a previous relationship. Our client’s desire was to build a house that would facilitate the coming together of those two families. This resulted in a design with separate functions for each family and common meeting places for both families. Each family has its own entrance hall, living room, bathroom and toilet and bedroom area. The main hall and spacious kitchen are set up as common spaces and planned as the heart of Villa Montfoort.

The project occupies the former social club “Pau i Justícia”, deeply rooted in the memory of the neighbourhood Poblenou, a space where long ago neighbours had celebrated marriages, first communions and parties, which was abandoned for many years. Now its doors open again and these neighbours must recognize the spaces in their memories at the same time that the building has been adapted to the new program: a theatre and a dramaturgy school, a place to celebrate the theatrical creation.

We we’re called upon to project this villa which rises out of an enchanting little corner, on the hills that pose as the crown of Lugano, a Swiss-Italian city which boasts a breathtaking view stretching from the Lugano Lake itself, to the mountains of high Capriasca.
